PoliMi RU unit will be composed by:
- Eng. Manuela Ferrario, Assistant Professor (principal investigator of the Research Unit). Her research interests
include linear and nonlinear signal processing, parameter extraction of autonomic control from cardiovascular signals,
cardiovascular modeling, development of automatic classifier, surrogate data analysis, methods for the analysis of the attractors.
- Prof. Maria Gabriella Signorini, Associated Professor. Her research interests include biomedical signal and image processing, analysis of heart rate variability, methods of nonlinear analysis of biological signal from cardiovascular and neural systems, multiparameter analysis of cardiovascular variability.
- Eng. Valentina Corino, Assistant Professor. Her research interests include biomedical signal processing, study of mechanisms involved in atrial fibrillation (AF), detection and prediction of AF with advance techniques of signal analysis, modeling of cardiac electrical activity.
PoliMi RU unit has wide experience in the extraction of parameters from biological signals for the classification and identification of pathological states. The research unit collaborates with important institutions such as the Renal Research Institute in NYC, the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza, the Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata", Fresenius Medical Care, GmbH. The RU is also involved in important projects such as the EU project Shockomics.
